About Essex Summer Scrum

Hosted by Colchester Kings and Colchester Thunder, we want to give your pre-season a kick start with an action packed day of rugby!

We are inclusive rugby teams and we welcome players of any and all abilities so they can learn, grow, and have a blast on and off the field. We believe that rugby is more than just a sport; it’s a platform for personal growth, teamwork, and empowerment. What to expect from Summer Scrum

workshops and skills

The day will feature a variety of ‘choose your own’ skills workshops as well as 'off pitch' whiteboard sessions to enhance your learning

game play

Put your skills into practice with mash up games against your friends and new teammates!

When the rugby is over, we're heading to Colchester's newest LGBTQ+ venue, The Dragonfly Lounge, to party the night away
